Natural Pain Relievers

There are millions of people suffering from chronic pain and the remedies for them are hard to find. Chronic back pain has been a problem for many of our office workers especially those who sit in their chairs for almost 8 hours a day. Back pain is especially important as it affects the ability of the person to do things such as lifting, basic stair climbing and even when waking up and changing position from lying to sitting and standing. Chronic back pain can result to lumbar instability with the pain radiating from the back to the legs. Sometimes it alarms the person affected as he or she can no longer straighten her back or even raise her leg.

But the most common cause of these lower back pains are muscle spasms. Spasms of the back muscles are so strong and remains for a long time that the vertebral column angle is changed. There other causes of lumbar instability such as degenerative diseases and other post-operative causes. So much so that rehabilitation when warranted will require costs to the person affected and if they cannot have that rehabilitation schedule, they suffer depression.

There are natural pain remedies that are offered for persons who suffer chronic back pain and the most essential of them all are stretching exercises. Muscles that are in constant spasm needs to be stretched so that slowly they regain their flexibility will eliminate the pressure it exerts to the lumbar spine and will allow the angle to revert back normal thereby releasing the pressure from the peripheral nervous system. Another good thing to do is to exercise. Running, walking, swimming, biking and other forms of exercise will benefit the affected person because exercising releases testosterone and endorphins which are natural pain relievers.
